The Bonavita Law Firm concentrates it’s practice on Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, and Mediation. Scott brings over 15 years of legal experience to his clients and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and a Certified Member of The Florida Academy of Professional Mediators. Scott formed the Bonavita Law Firm on the basis of integrity, determination, and commitment to resolving disputes and protecting his clients. Scott prides himself on providing comprehensive, thorough, and professional legal representation to each client. He has a proven track record of success by employing cutting edge legal strategies dedicated and honest legal representation.
Scott was born in Glens Falls, New York and moved to Florida at a very young age with his family. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Tampa, Florida and considers himself to be a Tampa Bay native.
Scott is a graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law, and also holds a Master of Science Degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. He is admitted to practice in all state courts of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Among his many past accomplishments, Mr. Bonavita is a former Assistant State Attorney in Florida, played professional soccer for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, served as an Adjunct Professor for St. Thomas University, and is a former Certified Personal Trainer with the International Sports Sciences Association.
Currently, Scott is a certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and in his spare time he plays soccer, is an avid CrossFitter, competes in triathlons, and spends a lot of time with his intelligent, insightful, and caring 13 year old son.
